joined us in december 2006. I had been interested in the breed for a
couple of years and when I found out the first litter in Finland was
born, I immediately contacted the breeder. I met the parents of the
litter and four of the puppies. Three male puppies were available, and
the choice between them was not difficult even though they were all
very cute. Actually, I think Diego chose me! :) He came straight to me,
jumped up and gave me a kiss. After that, I couldn't resist him. Anette
also thought this puppy would be a good choice for me, and that was it;
Diego joined us a couple of days later.  Diego
has adapted to the Ph's very well. He likes to play and run around with
"his" girls. He has a lovely personality and he's very calm compared to
the Ph's :) The most important thing for Diego is FOOD and he learns
any new trick very quickly as long as there are treats involved.. Diego
is not very interested in strangers, but once he gets to know somebody,
he's very affectionate. He loves to kiss and cuddle and seems to think
he's very small since his favourite place to sit is in my lap!! Diego
is also very obediant, he can be off leash almost anywhere. I've
entered Diego at a couple of shows with great success! In puppy
classes, Diego won 3 x BOB puppy, BIS-3 puppy, BIG-1 and BIS-2 puppy!
At his first show as a junior, Diego won BOB with CC and was placed
BIG-2 in tough competition!!! When Diego is a little older, I plan to try lure coursing and perhaps oval track racing. Thank You Anette for this handsome boy! The Galgo español (will be added later) Results Pedigree |
