News 200816.08At the national show in Kouvola, I had Diego and Welho entered. I also handled Celina (Siphra's Under The Rose), Luna's and Welho's sister. The GE's were judged by Mr Laszlo Erdös. Diego was BOB with CC, which awarded him the titles finnish and lithuanian champion! In the pharaoh hounds, judged by Mr Leif Lehman Jörgensen, Welho was BOS with his first CC (at his first show in Finland) and Celina won BOB with CC, finishing her finnish championship! Congratulations Britt-Marie! 09.08 I went to the sighthound speciality in Umeå, Sweden with Lotus, Welho and Diego. The pharaoh hounds were judged by Mrs Dagmar Kenis Pordham and the GE's by Mrs Marie-Christine Delabelle. At his first show ever, Welho showed really well and was awarded very good. Lotus won BOB with CC, which awarded her the title swedish champion. Diego was also BOB with CC, finishing his swedish champion title only a day after his second birthday! In the finals, Welho and Lotus were placed as BIS-2 brace and Lotus was Best In Show-5!! 08.08 Today it's Diegos second birthday! Congratulations to his siblings, Didi, Ava, Ässä, Mini, Dino and Valdo! 01-03.08 What an amazing weekend! I travelled to Vilnius in Lithuania with Lotus and Diego and had lots of fun and great results! At the international "Vilniaus Vasara" show on Friday, 8 PH's were entered for Mr Christian Stefanescu. Lotus was entered in champion class and was second with Reserve-CACIB. Since the CACIB-winner already is an international champion, the CACIB will be confirmed for Lotus. Diego was judged by Mr Jean-Louis Brassat Lapeyriere and he won BOB with CC and CACIB. On Saturday at the Baltic Winner 2008 show Lotus was entered for Mr Harto Stockmari. She was placed third with excellent. Diego was entered for Mr Jarmo Vuorinen and was BOB with CC, CACIB and the title Baltic Winner -08! On Saturday, Lotus was entered in champion class for Mr Seamus Oates. She won Best Bitch and ended up BOS with her first CACIB! BOB and BIG-4 was Riemu, Enigma Seeking Perfection. I also handled Tassu and the podenco ibizenco Norma. Tassu was awarded very good, Norma was BOS with CC. Jonski's collie Elvis was BOS with CC and his first CACIB. Congratulations Meiju, Ari & Riemu, Hanna & Norma and Jonski & Elvis for the great results!  Lotus BOS with CACIB On Sunday, Diego was entered for Mrs Rita Reyniers. He won BOB with CC and his fifth CACIB! I had lots of fun despite getting some sunburns.. 16.07 Today I got this lovely picture from Seija. Gala seems calmer and more tired than usual, we're keeping our fingers crossed and hoping this is a first sign of pregnancy.. :)  26.06-06.07We had a really fun holiday with friends in Sweden and Denmark! First, we went with my friend Lill to the Copenhagen Winner show in Denmark. On Saturday, Diego was entered for Mr. Jarmo Vuorinen. He won the CC and the CACIB (FCI-rules, so no Best male-class) and was awarded the Copenhagen Winner-title (KBHV-08). I also handled Gala, she was awarded the CC and the CACIB and KBHV-08 too. She also finished her Danish championate with this CC. In the BOB ring we had a handful, since Gala was in season... :) Lill helped and handled Gala in the BOB ring. Luna was awarded the reserve-CACIB. Lill's Alva won BOB-puppy and Morgan was awarded the reserve-CACIB. After the show, we visited Seija and Gala in Sjuntorp. Diego and Gala were mated twice, everything went well and now we're hoping for puppies. The litter is expected week 35 at kennel Royal Tramp's in Sweden. On Saturday, 40 Galgo español's were entered at the World Winner Show in Stockholm for Mr Per Iversen. Diego won the open class and the reserve-CC. Päivi's Dante (JWW-08 Domenq Do Promotorio Da Lua) won the junior class and the CC and her sloughi Junnu (Fin & S Ch FinW-07 Tillievillie Xiam Ehz) also won the CC! Congratulations Päivi, Dante and Junnu! We had a great trip with plenty of fun and met lots of friends! Thank You Lill & Kent, Seija and Kristian for Your hospitality and company! I hope we'll see eachother soon again! 12.05 I have some really sad news, Luna has had a misscarriage, so there will be no puppies :( The good news is that Luna is fine, she's as happy, playful and goofy as always! This was a big disapointment for me, I was really looking forward to Luna's first litter, but life goes on.. Better luck next time! 30.4 New picture of Luna, 55 days from the first mating. The puppies are expected next week :)  21.4 Today it's seven weeks (49 days) from Luna's first mating.  19.4 Today I went to the International show in Jyväskylä. Diego was entered in youth class for spanish judge Mr Javier Blanco and he was BOB with CC and CACIB! I also found out the title Nordic Champion is back in use in Finland since Jan 2008, so Luna got a new title almost 7 weeks pregnant without entering the show ;) Thank You Jonski, Anna, Miisa and Sari for yet another fun day at a show! :)  The new Nordic Champion 2.4 GREAT news! I did an ultrasound on Luna today and she's pregnant! The picture wasn't clear and it was difficult to count, but there's definitely more than one puppy! :) The puppies are expected to be born week 19. I'm really happy and looking forward to the puppies! 6.3 We have returned from Sweden! Luna was mated to Valle twice and everything went ok. Now we'll have to wait and keep our fingers crossed :) We had a nice stay with Eva and her PH boys! Thank You Eva and the Nyström family!  Luna and Valle playing
10.2 I showed Diego at the International show in Tallinn, Estonia. He was BOB with CC and CACIB and got an excellent critique from judge Mr Wilfried Peper. We had a fun trip, thank You Jonski, Miisa, Sari and Saara and congratulations for Your dog's nice results! 25-26.1 We spent the weekend at the International show in Turku. On Saturday, 29 pharaoh hounds were entered for breeder judge Mr Andre Van Der Broeck. Luna was placed third in champion class. Jenny came to the show with her PH's Champiz (Ch Faouziah's Champagne) and Valle (Faouziah's Darin) and Valle won his class and ended up as Best Male-2 with Res-CACIB and Res-CC! Congratulations Jenny and Valle! On Sunday, 2 galgo españols were entered for Mr Andre Van Der Broeck. Diego was awarded excellent and was BOB with CC and his first CACIB! 16.1. I got some great news today! Britt-Marie called me and told me Luna is Top Winning Pharaoh hound in Finland 2007!! I'm really proud Luna did so well last year, especially since I didn't show her at all during the fall/winter. I wanted her to start her maternity leave early.. :) Thank You Britt-Marie for my beautiful, happy Luna and congratulations for your nice results! 15.1 Today I got good neews from Sweden! Diego's "fiancé" Gala finished 2007 as Top 2 winning galgo español in Sweden, she was also Top winning female. Congratulations Seija and Gala! News 200714-17.12We travelled to the Nordic Winner show in Sweden and had lots of fun! On Saturday, I got to meet Valle again at his home. He was just as handsome as I remembered and really sweet natured! Valle and Luna played a lot and I think it was love at first sight, atleast for Valle :) We spent a nice day with Valle's family, thank You the Nyström family for Your hospitality! Winner Show. Diego was entered among 28 galgo españols for the
first time in youth class. He won his class, was awarded excellent and
placed as Best Male-3 with his second swedish CC. Luna was entered in
champion class, this time she didn't get a placement. At the show we
met lots of friends and I got to meet the galgo español Gala
(Int* S N Fin Ch Randeros Gala). Her owner had asked me if Diego could
sire her litter next year. I really liked Gala, she was very open,
social and friendly! She was also quite greedy for food, like a true
galgo! ;) Since Gala was so lovely, we decided that Diego will sire her
litter at kennel Royal Tramp's in Sweden.

I got some good news from Sweden from my friend Lill. Her PH Morgan (Ch Enigma Leading Story), Luna's "big love", has passed the aptitude test in field tracking as the first PH! Morgan also won two CC's in lure coursing winning BOB both times! Congratulations Lill and Morgan! Luna sends kisses to her "boyfriend"! :)  Morgan
Photo: Annelie Nilsson 07.11 Exiting news about planned litter! 30.10-2.11 I went to the annual Finnish veterinary congress in Helsinki, it was really nice with many interesting lectures and I met lots of friends! I also met the eye specialist who checked Luna's eyes. I found out mRD can be seen already in small puppies, so I decided to have Luna's litter checked before the puppies move to their new homes. 09.10. We have moved! We now live in Satakunta, on the western coast of Finland. The house is lovely and I now have a large yard for the dogs to run around and play in :)  16.09 I took my dogs to eye specialist Mrs Päivi Vanhapelto to have their eyes re-checked (Luna and Lotus) and their knees checked. Diego had excellent results, no signs of HC, RD or PRA in his eyes and his knees 0/0. Lotus had no signs of HC, RD or PRA in her eyes and knees 0/0. In Luna's left eye Päivi found mRD. The last time Luna was checked, she had no signs of HC, RD or PRA, so this was a real surprice for me! Päivi assured me this isn't a problem for Luna or for breeding her, but I will find out more about this and carefully consider what to do. 08.-09.09 We went to the national show in Porvoo both days. On Saturday, Diego was entered for Italian judge Mr Ernesto Capra. He won BOB-junior and BOB with CC. The critique is in italian, so I don't understand much, but I got it translated at the show and it was very nice! Sloughi Xiam Ehz "Junnu" won BOB-junior and BOB with CC! Congratulations Päivi and Junnu! On Sunday, 13 PH's were entered for breeder judge Mr Jarmo Vuorinen. Luna won the champion class and was BOS. BOB was Luna's "little brother" Skorpan. Luna's mother Minea was BB-2, Olivia (Ch Siphra's Gypsy Eyes) was BB-3 and Ella (Xemxija Clueless at Pareesa) was BB-4 with CC. The Siphra's breeders group won BOB. Congratulations to all! 21.08. Added new gallery of Mariefred 2007. 28-29.07 We travelled to Sweden to the Mariefred speciality sighthound show. On Saturday, at the national show, 37 (!) galgo españols were entered for judge Mr Norman Huido-Corbett. Diego won the juniorclass and ended up Best Male-2 with CC! In the pharaoh ring, Lotus was entered in open class and was placed fifth. Luna was third in champion class and ended up as Best Bitch-4. After quite an uncomfortable night in a tiny tent we went to the pharaoh hound speciality on Sunday. The PH's were judged by Mr Jarmo Vuorinen. Lotus was placed fourth in open class with Price of Honour. Luna won the champion class and ended up as Best Bitch-1!! This was the third time she was entered at a Pharaoh Hound Speciality and the third time she won Best Bitch! I'm so proud of my beautiful Luna! Finally, Luna was placed as BOS, BIS was handsome Multi CH, Multi Winner Antefa's Minas Tirith. Luna's mother Minea was BB-3, BOS Veteran and won both Best Movements and Best progeny group! Luna's brother Goliath won BIS-Open class. Congratulations to all winners! We had a lovely time with lots of friends, I was especially happy to finally meet Lotus' mother Nahla and her owner Anna! I could see where Lotus has got her sweetness from! Many thanks to Oona Eskola for handling Lotus so beautifully again! 21.07. Added new galleries of Farkkushow 2007 and Diego 08.07. We had a fun day among friends at Farkkushow, the finnish pharaoh hound speciality! 48 pharaoh hounds (12+20 adults and 8+8 puppies) were entered for Mrs Anna Larsson, Kennel Faouziah's, Sweden. Both Luna and Lotus were entered in champion class. Lotus was handled by junior handler Oona Eskola. Thank You Oona for your help, You handled Lotus really beautifully! Luna won the large champion class, Best Bitch-1 and ended up BEST IN SHOW!!!! Luna also competed for best head and expression with her mother Minea and for best movement with Mörkö (BOS Northgate's Aint A Saint) and Skorpan (Siphra's King of Hearts). Minea won Best head and expression (and BB-2, BIS-veteran) and Skorpan Best movement (and BM-3). Luna also participated in Minea's progeny group, which won BIS! Huge congratulations Britt-Marie for all great results! Congratulations to all winners and a big thanks to everybody for a lovely day!  17.06 I entered Luna at the international show in Kotka. She was placed BB-3. Ella, Xemxija Clueless at Pareesa won her first BOB with CC and CACIB. Congratulations Ella, Saara and handler Jessica! 9-10.06 We spent the weekend at dog shows in central Finland and had lots of fun and great results! On Saturday, at the national show in Kangasniemi, Diego won BOB with CC. He got a nice critique and the judge especially liked Diego's beautiful movement. In the Ph ring, Luna won BOB! Pele, Northgate's Absolutely Fab, was BOS with CC and finished his Finnish championship! Congratulations Pele and Saara! It was a really warm and sunny day, and we were all exhausted in the evening. We spent the night at Paula's, Heikki's and podenco ibizenco Paavo & Niilo's place and had a great time! We went swimming in the nearby lake (yes, also Luna and Diego) and to the sauna (the dogs preferred to wait outside ;) Thank you Paula, we really enjoyed our stay!! On Sunday, at the national show in Jämsänkoski, Diego again won BOB with CC. Luna got a really nice critique and ended up BOB! In the finals, Luna was placed BIG-4! A nice ending to this funfilled weekend! 27.05At the national show in Pargas, Luna and Diego were entered. Diego was BOB with CC and a nice critique. In the pharaoh ring, Luna went BOB!! Luna also made the cut in the group ring. Luna's mother Minea was BOB-veteran and BB-4 and made the cut in the BIS-veteran ring. We also got two new pharaoh hound champions at this show; Remo, B'anches Farafra was BOS with CC and P2, Sawhorse's Redsnout Dancer was BB-2 with CC. Congratulations Anette, Britt-Marie and Arja!! 26.05 We met Anette and her galgos and took the dogs running in the park. We also took new photos of Luna, Lotus, Diego and his brothers Dino and Enzo. I handled the dogs and Anette took the beautiful pictures! Thank You Anette, the photos are lovely!! 20-21.05 What a great weekend!! We went to the national show in Rauma and got some great results! On Saturday, I entered Luna and Lotus. Luna was awarded BOB and Lotus was Best Bitch-2 with CC, finishing her Finnish Champion-title on the first try after her second birthday! Thank You Arja for your help handling Lotus in the best bitch-ring! On Sunday, it was time for Diego's first appearance in junior class. He was BOB with CC and a very nice critique. In the finals, Diego was BIG-2!!! This was only the second time a galgo español was placed in the group in Finland and Diego achieved this only 9 months old! I'm so happy and proud of all of my dogs :) We also got great news from the international show in Helsinki. Luna's mother Minea went BOB, BOB-veteran and BIS-veteran!! Huge congratulations Britt-Marie and handler Anette Jörnevi!!  Diego BIG-2. Judge: Mr. Markku Mähönen We went to a match show to practise. Lotus showed really well and was third in her large class. Diego was second in the large puppy class. After the show, we met with Hanna and the podenco ibizenco Norma and took the dogs running and playing. Luckily, Hanna had her camera with her and she took some really nice photos. 08.04 My friend Saila and I had a fun day showing at the national show in Lappeenranta. Diego was entered in puppy class for the last time. He was BOB-puppy with HP. At this show, there was no finals for puppies. Luna celebrated her third birthday by winning BOB! :) I also handled Saila's bordercollie Saga (Tending Valkyrie), this was the first time I handled a bordercollie and it was a nice experience! 24.03 At the international show in Tampere, Luna was entered in champion class. She was awarded BB-2 with ResCACIB. Skorpan was BOB and Siri BOS, both with CACIB. Congratulations Britt-Marie and Marjo!! 08-09.03 Luna and I went on a long trip to the Lithuanian Winner show in Vilnius. On Saturday, Luna was awarded the Reserve CACIB. Since the CACIB was awarded to an international champion, Luna became an international champion!! We had a really fun trip and met lots of new friends on the bus! 04.03 I entered Diego at a puppy show in Helsinki. We had a lovely day, meeting Diego's brother Ässä and breeder Anette. Diego won BOB-puppy and in the finals, he won the group and was placed BIS-2!! Diego got lots of praise for his beautiful movement and he showed really well, even though it was a long day for him. My friend Mira also entered her Lapponian herderpuppy Násti, Taikarummun Boheeminoita at this show for the first time and Násti won BOB! Congratulations Mira and Násti! 24-25.02 We went on a trip with Anette to shows in Norway and Sweden. Even though the journey was a nightmare (snow storm, the car broke, we almost missed the pharaoh ring etc), we had really nice results! At the international show in Bo, Norway, Luna was BOS with CACIB. Lotus was awarded very good in the open class. In the galgo español ring, Diegos father Garabato was BOB with CC and CACIB. We couldn't stay for the group ring since we had a long way to drive to our next show... At the sighthound speciality show in Köping, Sweden, Luna was Best Bitch-2 with CC, which awarded her the title Swedish champion! Diego was entered in puppy class and was BOB- and BIS-3 puppy. Diego's aunt Gilda was BOB with CC, Garabato BOS with CC and Diegos sister Ava was BOS-puppy. We had lots of fun at the show meeting old and new friends!  Diego BOB and BIS-3 puppy

Luna ended up BOB with CACIB and a wonderful critique!! Topi, Siphra's Partner in Crime, was BOS with CACIB and CC and finished his Finnish championship. Siri, Siphra's Torpedo girl was BB-3 with CC and Finnish Champion! Congratulations Mari and Marjo!! Highlights 2006At the Finnish Winner Show in Helsinki, we took part in the Siphra's breeder group.
